xx Lorne Boulet's Family Remembers Patrice
« Reply #120 on: Jan 8th, 2006, 8:04pm »

Many of you know who Louise "FindLorne" is on this forum. She and her family did something special for Patrice who you all know was found on Dec. 6th. Patrice's memorial will be this upcoming Jan. 15th. Louise and her family cannot be here so they held their own event for Patrice. I wanted you all to see this because it was freezing cold outside and those kids did not have to do that but they did. As Rob Endres would say... "What a loving and caring thing to do".

These people are such sweet people. I wanted everybody to know how much we appreciated this.

xx Memorial Held for Patrice Endres

Family members and friends filed into Coal Mountain Baptist Church Sunday to remember Patrice Endres.

The remains of the once missing Forsyth County hairdresser were discovered in December by a constuction crew. Endres' body was found in a wooded area behind a church near her salon, police said.

Her husband, Rob Endres said his wife was a well-liked and respected member of the community.

"I feel some of her customers females got up and spoke from their hearts", he said. "They adored Patrice as we all did."

Patrice Endres was was last seen in April 2004 in her hair salon. Later that year convicted murderer Jeremy Jones told Alabama authorities he killed Endres and dumped her body in Sweetwater Creek in Douglas County - sixty miles from the site in Dawson County where her body was found in Dawson County.

Forsyth police said there was never any physical evidence connecting Jones to Endres' death. Jones, who is on death row in Alabama, later told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in an interview in December 2005 that he lied about killing Endres in order to recieve better jailhouse privileges.

Patrice Endres' sister has said she believes Endres' husband killed the woman. However, police have interviewed Rob Endres and have said pubicly they do not believe he is a suspect.

Many of Patrice's friend said Sunday knowing what happened to Patrice, but not knowing who killed her is tough.

"I've always felt like people might get away with things on earth for many years," said Judy Perrin. "But I believe there is an ultimate judgement."

Rob Endres said he simply misses his wife.
"I just would having my beautiful loving wife back...and that's never going to happen."

xx Forsyth murder victim remembered by friends, famil
« Reply #123 on: Jan 15th, 2006, 9:49pm »

By Jerry Gunn

CUMMING - Friends and family of Forsyth County murder victim Patrice Endres gathered in her memory Sunday at Coal Mountain Baptist Church.

Judy Perrin was a customer at Endres hair salon and also a personal friend.
She recalled after the hour-long memorial service her children grew up with Endres' children in the tight knit Forsyth County community.

"She just enjoyed taking care of people," Perrin said.

Endres disappeared from her business in April two years ago.
Perrin said the church service provided closure, but the murder case remains
They have her picture that they look at every day and they're dedicated to finding the end to this," Perrin told reporters.

Endres' body was found not far from her salon 20 months after she disappeared.
Convicted killer Jeremy Jones claimed he murdered her but his confession was later discounted.
Jones told investigators he kidnapped Endres, killed her and dumped her body in Douglas County.

"People might get away with things on earth for many years, but I believe there is an ultimate judgment," Perrin said.

xx Family says its goodbye to slain Forsyth woman
« Reply #124 on: Jan 16th, 2006, 06:12am »

Revealing a purple shirt and tie, Richard Tamber of Birmingham took off his jacket and lifted his accordion to serenade his daughter one last time with a medley of "Bella Notte" and "That's Amore."

The family of Patrice Tamber Endres, the Forsyth County hairdresser who was missing for 20 months before her remains were found in the woods in November not far from where she disappeared, gathered Sunday afternoon at a small country church to celebrate her life.

Most wore purple, her favorite color, and spoke of a young woman, who would now be 40, who doted on her son and forged lasting friendships.

Endres' son, D.W. "Pistol" Black, attended the service at Coal Mountain Baptist Church in Forsyth County with his father, Don Black. Now 17, Pistol lives with Black in Douglasville.

Before the service, Endres' mother, Charlotte Prahl of Texas, said, "Life doesn't always give us what we want, as we've found out."

Prahl said that on Saturday she visited the woods where her daughter's remains were found. "It was the hardest thing I've ever done," she said.

Half a dozen friends and family members spoke to the crowd of about 100.

Her husband, Robert Endres, thanked most of the media that have reported the case and investigators working on it.

"As we all know, Patrice had a particular knack for bringing out the best in everyone," Endres said.

He asked everyone to continue to pray for Patrice and that "the person or persons that perpetrated this horrible tragedy will be brought to justice."

Her sister, Kyleen Kramer of Duluth, who planned the service with her brothers, Rich Tamber and Brian Tamber of Birmingham, tearfully said she cannot speak of Patrice yet, so she read a poem.

After the service, the church's pastor, Dan Bennett, led the group in two verses of "Amazing Grace."

Nancy Hunt said her friend Endres' salon was like Truvy's Beauty Parlor in "Steel Magnolias.""It didn't matter what we were talking about, it was Patrice chat," Hunt said. "You always left there feeling better than when you went in."

Endres disappeared from her salon, Tamber's Trim-N-Tan, on April 15, 2004. After an extensive national search based on a witness's account that was later proved to be false, convicted killer Jeremy Jones confessed to abducting and killing Endres. Jones said he disposed of her body in Douglas County.

Searches there turned up nothing. Workmen at a church in Dawson County found her remains in late November.

The investigation is being revisited by a team of two members of the sheriff's offices in Forsyth and Dawson counties and a GBI agent.

Suspect in hiker's disappearance may be linked to 3 other cases

By MIKE MORRIS, NANCY BADERTSCHER
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Published on: 01/07/08

Authorities Monday were checking to see whether three North Georgia missing persons cases two from recent weeks and one from nearly four years ago are linked.

Forsyth County officials are investigating the possibility that the man suspected of kidnapping hiker Meredith Emerson may be linked to the disappearance and murder of a Forsyth County hairdresser nearly four years ago, and police in Athens are trying to determine whether he could be connected to the case of a 29-year-old woman who disappeared in late December.

"We're not leaving any stone unturned," said Capt. Frank Huggins, spokesman for the Forsyth County Sheriff's Department.

Huggins said investigators want to look into similarities in Emerson's kidnapping and the unsolved murder of Patrice Endres, who disappeared from her beauty salon north of Cumming on April 15, 2004.

Both cases involved a missing woman, and clues to their disappearance were found in Forsyth County, the spokesman said.

Authorities already have said they believe there could be a connection between the Emerson case and the disappearance and presumed slayings last October of John and Irene Bryant, an elderly couple from North Carolina.

On Friday, police found three bloody fleece garments and Emerson's wallet and ID in a parking lot trash receptacle near a QuikTrip near Cumming in Forsyth County, about 50 miles south of the trail where she was last seen. Across the street from the trash bin, they found Emerson's dog, Ella, wandering in a Kroger parking lot. Gary Michael Hilton, 61, has been charged with kidnapping Emerson, and the search for the missing woman continues.

Endres' remains were found in Dawson County about 20 months after she was reporting missing.

On Monday, state authorities and deputies from Dawson and Forsyth counties were concentrating their
on 20,000 acres in Dawson Forest, Huggins said.

In a more recent missing persons case, Cayle Bywater, 29, was last seen with her dog at Memorial Park in Athens on the afternoon of Dec. 29, according to Athens-Clarke County police.

Bywater did not show up for work later that evening, and her dog was seen unattended and running loose in the park on Gran Ellen Drive in Athens the next day, police said. No family members or friends have reported any contact with Bywater since Dec. 29.

"Presently, we have not made any connection in our case with that of the Meredith Emerson case in Union County," Athens-Clarke County police Lt. Greg Paul said Monday morning.

However, Paul said an Athens-Clarke County detective "will be speaking with the GBI today about any possible similarities in the incidents."

Emerson, 24, is believed to have been kidnapped while hiking with her dog at Vogel State Park in Union County on New Year's Day.

Paul asked that anyone who was at Memorial Park in Athens during the afternoon and evening hours of Dec. 29, or anytime on Dec. 30, call Detective Dustin Smith at 706-613-3888, Ext. 795.

A Web site has been set up by friends of Bywater seeking clues to her whereabouts: findcayle.blogspot.com.

xx Hiker murder revives Forsyth hairdresser case
« Reply #132 on: Jan 12th, 2008, 5:34pm »

Richard Tamber heard the news in a telephone call Monday from one of his children.

Authorities in Forsyth County plan to investigate possible links between Gary Michael Hilton, a suspect in the disappearance and slaying of hiker Meredith Emerson, and Tamber's daughter's killing nearly four years ago.

whoever did this," Tamber said from his business in Birmingham.

Tamber's daughter, Patrice Endres, was 38 when she disappeared from her beauty salon north of Cumming on April 15, 2004. Her remains were found in a wooded area of nearby Dawson County on Dec. 6, 2005.

Hilton has been charged with kidnapping Emerson, who vanished New Year's Day while hiking on the Freeman Trail in Vogel State Park. Authorities have said there also could be a connection between the Emerson case and the disappearance and presumed slayings last October of John and Irene Bryant, an elderly couple from North Carolina as well as Endres' disappearance and death.

Capt. Frank Huggins, spokesman for the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, said the common links in the Emerson and Endres cases include the fact that clues to both women's deaths were found in Forsyth County.

Late last week, police found three bloody fleece garments and Emerson's wallet and ID in a parking lot trash receptacle near a Cumming QuikTrip. Across the street from the trash bin they found Emerson's dog, Ella, wandering in a Kroger parking lot.

Emerson's body was found Monday night in Dawson County.

Tamber said his family longs to see the person responsible for his daughter's death arrested. "And we definitely want justice," he said.

He said he thinks of his daughter every day and still frets over unanswered questions about how long she lived and how much she suffered.

"It's just bad," Tamber said.
