Jody was walking home from a friends house when she disappeared. Jody had called her mother to tell her she was on her way home, but never arrived.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jody Ledkins is asked to contact the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department Fugitive Unit/Missing Persons at 816-234-5136.

Jody is my daughter and it has been 19 years last May that Jody dissappeared.

Kansas City Star Newspaper has done several wonderful stories in hopes to find Jody. I had a billboard company donate a billboard off the main Independence Ave by where Jody disappeared. The Channel 9 News Channel tried to help. It seems not to touch the heart of the person who is responsible for Jody's disappearance.

From 1987 until around 1996 or so I was stalked by a person and her boyfriend. These individuals are from the Northeast area of where Jody disappeared. This girlfriend is a close friend to the sister of a person in which the police seems to believe murdered Jody. Jody's best friend who last saw Jody expresses her friendship to Jody. Yet, this person will not talk alone with the police. I have been threaten and my property had been destroyed. In fact, when I had my daughter in 1989 that day right after I delivered my daughter, this Candy called me at the hospital and threaten to kill me. I had to change my name and room . It seems none of these people ever had to talk to the police, account for thier actions even more important why they threaten me. I could go on with many other given situations. I only know that the Police does not have solid evidence and always put Jody's case on the back because it was a cold case. That was because of poor communication between the juvinile authorities and the police. Any ideas would be so much appricated.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Every Sunday morning, Karen Stratton plies away at her computer looking for clues to help her unravel one singular agonizing question: Where is my daughter?

She still remembers the last time she heard Jody's voice. It was a Thursday night, May 23, 1985. The 14-year old Kansas City girl had argued with her boyfriend and walked over to a friend's house to call her mother for a ride home. Stratton however, did not have a car then.

"That's OK , Mom," Jody said. "I'll find a ride."

The petite blond girl, with the big round glasses, never made it home.

"In my heart, my hope is that she is alive," Stratton said in a soft plaintive twang.

Every missing person must have some sort of voice. If the only the voice they can have at this moment is a place on the Internet, then we should give them that. Now Jody will have a place that people can gather and leave their thoughts and comments to the family without having to leave the comfort of their own home.

The angel for Jody has been resent. I am so upset with our postal service here right now. I've had to redo like three packages for my moms, because these people have LOST stuff. If this last one does not arrive either, know that I am thinking of Jody always and I know she will come home soon. She is proud of you no matter where she may be tonight.
